WIA Youth Program

Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Services are only available to eligible individuals.  Our programs serve Younger Youth (16-18) and Older Youth (19-21). 

Services include:

High School Completion Services

  • Arrangement of tutoring, study skills training and instruction that will lead to high school completion.
  • Assistance obtaining a High School Diploma through alternative secondary school offerings.

Paid and Unpaid Work Experiences

  • Internships, job shadowing and summer employment opportunities.

Scholarships for Post-Secondary Education and Training

  • Up to $4,300 per year is available to youth pursuing long-term training.
  • Scholarships are also available for short-term training and education.

Support Services

  • Arrangement of childcare and transportation services.
  • Adult mentoring and comprehensive guidance and counseling.
