The
Youth Council is the local planning body for Youth Development
Services for the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) Workforce
Development Board. Youth
Council members include representatives from local youth
service agencies, businesses, and the community who have an
interest in youth policy.
The role of the Youth Council is to oversee
and coordinate employment opportunities and training programs
for youth in Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington Counties. The
Youth Council encourages youth of all ages to participate
in career exploration to learn about the different paths to
success they can follow after high school.
The Youth Council
is committed to providing all youth with information that
will assist them in becoming productive and successful members
of the area’s workforce. Workforce
Development, Inc. a corporation that administers programs
for the Workforce Development Board and other partner agencies
at the Workforce
Development Centers provide numerous services
to youth and adults. Youth can participate in career exploration
and workshops, receive job search and resume assistance, and
gain the training, skills, knowledge, and experience necessary
