Education and Vocational Training
Basic Education
Development of the basic skills (reading, writing, math and/or other basic skills).
English as a Second Language Programs
English instruction to solve problems, read, write and communicate at a level necessary to function on the job, in the family or in society.
Financial Assistance for Education
Sources of financing the costs of attending post secondary schooling, including grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study programs.
High School Equivalency
Preparation to pass the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) requirements or the General Education Development (GED) testing (if over 18 and out of school).
Occupational Skill Training
Structured education programs that certify the vocational skills necessary to enter an occupation have been acquired.
